BEIJING, Jul 28 (APP): Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Noman Bashir NI (M) on Tuesday met with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi here in Beijing. Both the leaders discussed prevailing global and regional environment and recalled the strong ties of friendship between two countries. During the meeting Chief of the Naval Staff apprised the Chinese Foreign Minister about Pakistan's efforts to fight against extremism. Chief of the Naval staff extended complete support of the government of Pakistan and Pakistan Navy for the anti piracy deployment of PLA Navy task force in the Gulf of Aden. He also thanked the Chinese leadership and government for the support extended for the F 22P Frigate project. The first ship of the class will be handed over to Pakistan Navy on Thursday (July 30) in Shanghai. Foreign Minister of China appreciated the unequivocal support of Pakistan for China on all global and regional issues. He also acknowledges the vital role being played by Pakistan in eliminating terrorism and extremism from the region.
