"I Need You" is a Beatles song on the album Help! (see 1965 in music). It is the second George Harrison song the band recorded (on 15 and 16 February 1965) and released, after a two album-long hiatus. The song was performed in their second movie Help!.
The song is a simple, melancholy number, with a lead guitar sound achieved by Harrison's first recorded use of a volume pedal. The confessional lyrics are commonly thought to be about Harrison's relationship with Pattie Boyd, whom he had met in March 1964 while filming A Hard Day's Night. (They married in January 1966.)
"I Need You" is a song by Depeche Mode vocalist Dave Gahan and is the second single from his 2003 debut album, Paper Monsters. It was released in late August 2003 after the first single, Dirty Sticky Floors. The rhythm of this song is much different than the first single. While Dirty Sticky Floors was a rock song, this one is much slower, reminding of some well-known songs from Depeche Mode.
"I Need You" is a song written and performed by Jars Of Clay. It was the first single from their 2002 studio album, The Eleventh Hour. The band stated that they took the same songwriting approach for this song as they did with "Love Song For A Savior" from their self-titled debut album. However, the music for "I Need You" was actually written during the If I Left The Zoo sessions. A live version of the song appears on the band's 2003 double album, Furthermore: From the Studio, From the Stage.
"I Need You" is a two-time Grammy Award nominated duet recorded by country music artist Tim McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill.
The song peaked at #8 on the country charts in August 2007, partly due to competition with individual singles from Hill and McGraw ("Lost" and "If You're Reading This", respectively).
The duet has been nominated twice at the 2008 Grammy Awards for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals and Best Country Song. The show will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on February 10, 2008.
"I Need You" is a song performed by LeAnn Rimes, and is a single off her album I Need You. It peaked at #11 on the Hot 100.
It was featured prominently in the soap opera Days of Our Lives as Chloe Lane and Philip Kiriakis' song. The song is also the lead track on the CD titled "Jesus: Music From & Inspired by the Epic Mini Series" that aired on television in 1999.
"I Need You" is the second Christian radio single off Relient K's fifth album, Five Score and Seven Years Ago, and it was released around July 2007. The song quickly made it onto ChristianRock.Net's weekly Top 30. It also hit No. 1 on Radio and Records Christian Rock chart. The band also made the song available as a profile song on their MySpace. This song is not a mainstream single, and will therefore not be getting a music video like "Must Have Done Something Right" and "The Best Thing". In February 2008, the single was nominated for a dove award in the "Rock Song of the Year" category.
