This page gathers the results of elections in Italy.
Italy elects, on national level, a Parliament consisting of two houses, the Chamber of Deputies (Camera dei Deputati) (630 members) and the Senate of the Republic (Senato della Repubblica) (315 elected members, plus a few senators for life). The President of the Republic is elected for a seven-year term by the Parliament houses in joint session.
In Italy there are two main political coalitions, but historically there are many parties. Both coalitions have experienced stability issues at different times. Other than the left-wing coalition, L'Unione, and the right-wing one, the House of Freedoms, there are some regional parties (especially from Aosta Valley, Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, Veneto, Sicily and Sardinia), and the Italian Radicals, whose allegiance can change often.
