Banja Luka or Banjaluka (Cyrillic: Бања Лука, ; Hungarian: Lukácsfürdő) is the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina after Sarajevo. It is the de facto capital of the Republika Srpska entity. It has traditionally been the center of the Bosanska Krajina region located in the northwest of the country, on the Vrbas river. Banja Luka is the location of the University of Banja Luka. Numerous other Bosnia and Herzegovina institutions are also in Banja Luka.
